The Hi-Energy subwoofer range features dual coil models to increase the flexibility of your subwoofer system design. This will allow you to manage the different connectivity solutions and the number of subwoofers in a particular design in order to make the most of the amplifier power delivery characteristics. Dual voice coil, i.e.: double the power, double the efficiency, with even smaller boxes. The AV 10 project started from the Thesis characteristics. AV 10 subwoofer offers full linearity and elevated performance under extreme conditions.
Equipped with an aluminum basket with a great aerodynamic structure, a cotton-fibre paper pressed cone with Light Damping treatment, a Triple Wave surround in butyl rubber and extremely light Copper Clad Aluminium Wire coils, it provides a very high efficiency and a dynamic sound.

Kenwood's flagship subwoofer, the KFC-WPS1000F, delivers unbelievable performance as it boasts a peak power output of 1000W. Reassuring durability even during long hours of high-output operation can also be enjoyed as the speaker unit is designed to dissipate heat effectively away from the motor system. A die-cast aluminum basket is employed to further reduce heat and improve power-handling characteristics while multiple fins enhance ventilation and rigidity for supporting the large motor. Four vents are positioned around the basket to ensure that the entire subwoofer is always properly cooled. Compared to existing models, the new flat subwoofers are approximately 40% slimmer in height. This makes them ideal for installation in the tightest of spaces such as behind or under the seats. The subwoofer also uses high quality materials such as a carbon-fiber cone and aluminum-cast basket for long-lasting reliability.

Pioneer’s IMPP Composite Cone is newly re-designed to deliver a durable cone structure for accurate, yet powerful bass. The subwoofer now provides a single piece cone and drive cone, in addition to a lightweight and rigid dust cap. This combination offers more rigidity throughout the cone versus competitors in its class. An extremely durable, yet lightweight cone is vital to prevent cone failure at high sound pressure levels.
The TS-W311S4 utilizes a highly rigid, fully-enclosed, single piece basket, derived from our world-record holding SPL competition subwoofers, to help minimize the vibration throughout the subwoofer and increase the driving force to the cone, producing louder and rhythmical bass. Improved stiffness of the basket provides for less sound leaks creating more clear and powerful bass.
With the TS-W311S4, engineers re-designed the spider assembly to allow the subwoofer to produce more accurate and rich bass. Taking notes from our high-end SPL competition and Reference Series speakers, the spider is now assembled onto the spider holder rather than directly on to the basket. Since the cone is also assembled onto the basket which can cause additional vibration, the independent structure of the spider holder helps minimize vibration coming from the cone. This improves playback response, sound outline, and provides high linearity.
All fast moving parts and friction will create heat and too much heat creates unwanted audio results. The TS-W311S4 is designed with ventilation holes to improve air flow and release heat keeping the piston cool for better performance.
