These manual boost valves are a simple and cheap way to adjust turbo boost. Adjustment is done by simply turning a knob for more/less boost pressure as desired.

They are installed in between a pressure feed and your wastegate, and according to boost pressure, will open/close a valve inside - controlling your actuator and boost pressure.
